Reaching Level 100 is only the beginning of the real progression in Hero Siege Season 10. After hitting the level cap, you gain access to Hero Levels and the Incarnation system, but the first few levels can feel surprisingly slow.
The good news is that you do not need a perfect endgame build immediately. Chaos Towers are one of the most practical ways to start building Hero Levels while you collect Ether Points and prepare for stronger farming methods later.
Why Chaos Towers Are Good After Level 100
When you first reach Level 100, you only have a limited number of Ether Points. Current Season 10 farming guides recommend starting with Chaos Towers because they have a base spawn chance and can generate groups of enemies with the Bloating affix. These enemies can drop multiple purple experience orbs when killed.
That makes Chaos Towers useful for the transition between normal Level 100 progression and the more optimized endgame XP farms.
You do not need to completely optimize your Ether Tree at this stage. Your goal is simply to make Chaos Towers appear consistently enough to give you a reliable farming loop.
Step 1: Build Around Chaos Towers
Your first Ether Points should support the Chaos Tower mechanic rather than being scattered across unrelated farming bonuses.
The early Ether Tree does not give you enough points to maximize several mechanics at once. Specializing in one activity is therefore much more efficient.
For a fresh Level 100 character, Chaos Tower is a simple choice because the gameplay loop requires very little setup: find the tower, activate it, kill the enemies, collect the rewards, and move on.
Once you have more Ether Points, you can reset or expand the tree toward other farming strategies.
Step 2: Kill the Bloating Packs Quickly
The main reason Chaos Towers are useful for Hero Levels is the Bloating mechanic.
When Bloating enemies appear, focus on killing them quickly and collecting the purple XP orbs they generate. The faster you clear the entire pack, the better your experience per minute becomes.
This is especially important for fragile builds.
Do not stand in the middle of a giant wave simply because the XP is valuable. Move, kite, use your defensive skills, and eliminate the most dangerous enemies first.
A dead character earns zero experience.
Step 3: Don’t Waste Your Best Chaos Keys
This is one of the easiest mistakes to make when starting the post-100 grind.
Chaos Towers can have different rarities, and current farming guidance recommends skipping Mythic Chaos Towers because they require Chaos Keys that are better saved for Satanic and Angelic versions.
In other words, do not automatically spend every key the moment you see a tower.
If the run does not provide enough value for the resource being consumed, save the key for a better opportunity.
Step 4: Focus on XP Per Minute
The best Chaos Tower route is not necessarily the one with the highest theoretical reward.
Think about XP per minute.
A good run looks like this:
Enter the area → find the Chaos Tower → activate it → group enemies → clear the Bloating packs → collect XP → leave → start the next run.
Avoid spending several minutes killing unrelated monsters unless they are directly on your route.
The entire point of this stage is to build Hero Levels while your character is still developing.
Step 5: Fix Your Gear Before Pushing Too Hard
Fresh Level 100 characters often enter this stage with leveling equipment. That is completely normal.
Before farming difficult Chaos Towers repeatedly, make sure your weapon provides enough damage and that your defenses are not falling behind.
If enemies take too long to kill, upgrade your main damage source first.
If you are dying before finishing the event, improve Life, resistances, defensive stats, or mobility.
Do not assume you need a complete endgame setup immediately. A few targeted upgrades can make a much bigger difference.
Efficient farming also gives you opportunities to collect Hero Siege Gold while improving your Hero Level.
When Should You Stop Farming Chaos Towers?
Chaos Towers are mainly an early Hero Level strategy.
As you gain more Ether Points and become comfortable farming Hell, the better long-term goal is to unlock the Ready to Pop node in the Overworld Ether Tree.
Ready to Pop requires 17 Ether Points and enables the Colossal Chest/Bloating strategy that current Season 10 guides identify as the stronger Hero Level farming method.
So think of Chaos Towers as the bridge.
Level 100 → Chaos Towers → Hero Levels + Ether Points → Ready to Pop → Colossal Chests → faster Hero Level farming.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
There are a few easy ways to make the early grind slower than necessary.
Do not clear every monster on the map. Focus on the tower and move on.
Do not spend valuable Chaos Keys randomly. Save better keys for higher-value tower rarities.
Do not ignore your Loot Filter. Picking up every low-value item destroys your farming rhythm.
Do not sacrifice survivability for a tiny damage increase. Consistent clears are better than repeatedly dying.
Do not rush into the final XP strategy before you have enough Ether Points. Build toward Ready to Pop naturally.
Should You Buy Gear?
You can progress without immediately replacing every piece of equipment.
If your character is struggling, identify the weakest slot and upgrade that first. A stronger weapon or build-specific item can dramatically improve your clear speed.
If you eventually decide to buy cheap Hero Siege Items, focus on upgrades that directly improve your farming efficiency rather than spending resources on minor stat differences.
For a fresh Level 100 character, keep the plan simple:
Build the Chaos Tower Ether path → run efficient towers → prioritize Bloating packs → collect XP → save valuable Chaos Keys → earn more Ether Points → unlock Ready to Pop → move into Colossal Chest farming.
Chaos Towers are not necessarily the final destination for Hero Level farming, but they are an excellent stepping stone. They let you start progressing immediately after Level 100 instead of waiting until your character is fully geared.
Once your Ether Tree and equipment catch up, you can move into the faster Colossal Chest strategy and push your Hero Levels much more efficiently.
